Lot GN-04: Kotowa Duncan Geisha Natural
The name KOTOWA comes from the native language and means
"mountains".
Duncan stands on the slopes of the Baru Volcano, where you
can see the distant Pacific Ocean on one side and the rigged
mountains of the continental divide on the other. This area is
naturally blessed with a climate where the combination and correct
amounts of rain, wind, sunshine, clouds and temperature allows us
to produce a coffee that has a great tasting character.
During harvest, we carefully hand select only the best ripe
cherries, to be pulped using crystal clear water from our mountain
springs. Modern milling techniques allow us to properly select the
beans that are then pulped and dried using traditional methods. We
then slowly dry the coffee using the old and gentle sun-drying
system in the cool and dry climate of our farm at 1750 meters of
altitude that produces a truly special coffee.
